The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and chief of Shiv Sena (Shinde), after winning 29 seats in the BMC election, had to take all his winning candidates to a hotel under his control. People say it was the suspicion of poaching by some party, say the BJP, to have the majority after getting them to join the BJP, the source says.
BJP has emerged as the largest party in the BMC elections, but short of a clear majority. Perhaps Shinde wants a deal with the elder brother to support in the house and have its own Mayor source says. The CM, Fadnavis, is very happy with the results and probably conveyed to DELHI that in the 2029 parliamentary elections, the BJP will contest alone without the support of any regional party, but for state elections support of Ajit Pawar’s party must be needed, and the BJP must allow 30/35 seats to Ajit Pawar in western Maharashtra source says.
Shinde perhaps has been conveyed to merge his party with the BJP but as signals received from Shinde’s camp, party is not ready to merge because of great difficulty, the party proved to be the real Shiv Sena and representative of Bala Sahab in Maharashtra, if party decides to merge then it might lead Marathi Manush to lean towards Uddhav’s party and his party will lose the base support resulting into a political blunder source says.
