The swiftness with which all the actions to shift Nitish Kumar to Delhi have been designed and executed is still a mystery. Ultimately, Nitish Kumar, CM of Bihar, agreed to leave the state in between, but the partymen are divided, and in their opinion, it would be difficult to keep the supporters intact in the absence of the CM in the future, the source says. This came to light when Shrawan Kumar, a loyalist, and Sanjay Jha, a Rajya Sabha member and a bridge between JD(U) and BJP, got into a heated argument in a meeting, sources say. Shrawan Kumar blamed some people for trying to finish the party or transfer its voter base to the BJP, and added that it would have been better to contest the last elections without the BJP to keep the voters intact.
Sanjay Jha could not control himself and said that when the party contested alone, it brought the figure of 43; this time, at least, we are 85, according to a source. Party feels that after going of Nitish Kumar from Bihar the women voters are likely to differ, the EBC, OBC, Kurmi and other small castes presently supporting if not entire at least majorly would shift loyalty towards RJD and Congress and the JD(U) would be at a loss because still in Bihar, the BJP is considered a party of the upper caste source says. The offer to make Nitish Kumar the deputy prime minister is also now doubtful, and a new offer has been made to become the Coordinator of the NDA; it is still unclear whether this has been agreed upon, the source says. RJD is very happy with all these developments and is closely watching the development without offering any comments, the source says.
