Harsimrat Kaur is fully supporting her brother Vikram Majithia. It is believed that an agreement was likely finalised under the influence of Badal. This is aiming to contest the upcoming state assembly elections in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by the Akali Dal. Badal also managed to secure his position as the Chief Ministerial candidate and established the Akali Dal as the senior partner in this electoral coalition.

Sources suggest that both the BJP and the Akali Dal recognised that in order to weaken the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) support base in the state, a three-way electoral contest was necessary. The strategy involved the Akali Dal and BJP combining efforts to split the vote share of Sikhs and Punjabi Hindus among the Congress, Akali Dal, and AAP.

Under this plan, it is expected that staunch Hindu voters would consolidate behind the BJP, thereby strengthening its position, according to a source familiar with the developments. Additionally, the data indicates that Dalit voters are inclined to support the Congress this election cycle, further complicating the electoral dynamics, as another source confirmed.

These strategic alliances and vote-splitting tactics are believed to potentially pave the way for the Akali-BJP coalition to form the next government, with extensive financial and logistical support from the BJP, as per reports. After returning to Punjab, Badal outlined his entire election plan and recounted his recent achievements. However, Harsimrat Kaur was reportedly upset because Badal, during these strategic discussions, did not consult the highest authorities within the BJP regarding her brother’s bail application or the case's overall innocence, according to sources.

Taking matters into her own hands, she sought an appointment with senior BJP leaders in Delhi. She personally met and urged them to expedite her brother Vikram Majithia's release from jail. It appears that within a few days, there was either a chance occurrence or a managed effort, as Vikram Majithia received bail from the court, according to sources.
