It has surprised many, but after getting no proper response from SP, K C Tyagi had no other options and thought it was better for his son's future to accept Jayant Chaudhary's offer, the source says. A seasoned politician and one-time very reliable supporter of Nitish Kumar was trying for a long time to join the Samajwadi Party, if by chance had to go out from the JD(U) sources say. When the time came, he immediately contacted the SP chief and expressed his desire to join. Akhilesh Yadav welcomed him but did not offer any position in the party, the source says. Akhilesh Yadav was pretty sure that such a senior politician would definitely ask for something in return for joining but K C Tyagi did not open his mouth whenever he met, a source says.

Considering his seniority he thought to refer him to his uncle and the senior party leader Prof Ramgopal Yadav source says. Whenever K C Tyagi met the Prof at his residence, he was welcomed with open arms, but no commitments were offered to him; probably, this has given a signal to him and he approached Jayant Chaudhary, the source says. In the first meeting, Jayant offered an MLA seat from Muradnagar to his son in the 2027 assembly elections of UP, sources say. Keeping in mind the future of his din K C Tyagi immediately joined Jayant Chaudhary’s party sources say.
