The political situation in Bihar is not favourable to the RJD, and differences between Acharya and Tejaswi have brought a family feud into the open, which has somewhat tarnished the family's reputation, a source says.  The difference between Tej Pratap and Tejaswi is well known, and observers feel that its impact was evident in the Assembly elections, a source says. Recently, the old friends of Lalu Yadav told him that if Sanjay Yadav is so important to the party, why not make him the acting president of the party, a source says. The family pressure, Rabari Devi’s persuasion to bring both brothers together, and Acharya’s disassociation with the family have made Lalu Yadav think about how to reunite the family, according to the source. Seems the first step was a discussion between Prashant Kishore and Tej Pratap Yadav to decide and move forward to ensure the RJD's victory in the coming elections, the source says. It's understood that PK has also advised the family to reunite to counter the BJP in the coming elections, the source says.
