Congress To Vacate Its 's Historic Power Centre- Akbar Road

The Congress party and the BJP are now having new offices at different locations. The BJP has built a spacious office with all modern amenities gadgets and a security system at Dindayal Marg, whereas the Congress has built one at Kotla. Both the political offices have shifted most of their important staff to the new premises, the source says.  The BJP being in power has probative to allot or cancel allotments and the party has taken advantage of it by issuing an order to the Congress party to vacate the Akbar Road office, which is under its control for the last 48 years and the party is very attached sentimentally because after debacle in 1975 and after, Late Indira Gandhi reestablished her power and image from this house only source says.

The Congress party celebrates all its important days and even important meetings here only. The BJP’s IT Cell and election war room are still working from the old office, though the new premises are quite sufficient to accommodate, sources say. The meetings and victory addresses are also being held from the new office, but the party still wants to continue in the old office, and no order to vacate the building has been issued so far, the source says. Taking this and some other points the Congress has also decided not to vacate the old building and continue to occupy for this the Congress party is to take legal action, the source says.
