Vikram Doraiswami, an IFS officer of the 1992 batch and currently India's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has been appointed India's Ambassador to China. He served as High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, and as an Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan. Notably, he also served in China for our years and as Private Secretary to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh.
